Full Job Description Title:
Assistant Business AdministratorPosition Description:
The assistant business administrator supports the business administrator in overseeing the financial and operational business functions in SAU 41 which includes the Brookline, Hollis and Hollis-Brookline Cooperative school districts. This includes accounting, payroll, accounts payable, budgeting, state financial reporting and audit preparation, while ensuring compliance with New Hampshire Department of Education standards and district policies.

This is a full time year round position.
Essential Duties:
Development and management of district budgetsOversee and assist with payroll, taxes, and accounts payablePreparation of state reports and financial documentsFiscal year closing and audit preparationWork collaboratively with administrators, administrative assistants, and human resourcesAttend meetings as neededPerform other duties as assigned by business administrator
Salary & Benefits:
$70,000-$90,000 Commensurate with experience Includes comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, dental, vision, life retirement, and paid time off.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ideal candidates for this position will have: 3+ years experience in school finance, municipal finance, or governmental accounting.

Experience with payroll, accounts payable, budgetingExperience with financial software and ExcelBachelor's degree in business, accounting or a related field
Minimum Requirements:
Experience in budgeting, accountingStrong Excel skillsStrong organizational, analytical and problem solving skillsAbility to work collaboratively and communicate effectivelyMust have a valid drivers licenseMust be able to pass a federal and state criminal background check
