Job Description

Office Assistant needed for a busy, full-service glass shop, celebrating over 65 years in business. Suburban Glass is seeking a reliable, multi-talented individual for an immediate full-time Office Personnel / Satellite Office Specialist position. This role will be mainly based at our high-performing Ridgewood, NJ satellite office, with time working at our main Closter, NJ office.
Hours:
8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday - Friday This is a unique position that combines administrative excellence with direct customer service and sales support. You will often work independently in the satellite office, serving as the face of our company for walk-in and phone customers, while also supporting operations at the main office as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide excellent customer service in person and over the phone Handle installation and quotation scheduling Manage calendar, appointments, and daily office workflow Prepare job estimates, follow up on quoted jobs, and close sales Facilitate paperwork, inventory control, and accounts receivables Use computer systems for scheduling, quoting, invoicing, and customer records Support overall operations at both the satellite and main office locations
Requirements:
Proficient in Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, Google Calendar, and Adobe Strong computer skills with the ability and willingness to learn industry-specific software Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills; able to build trust quickly while maintaining a professional and personal demeanor Proven ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks and priorities Reliable, punctual, and consistent, with a strong attendance record; sales-oriented and comfortable following up on quotes Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and flexibility to work across both office locations Familiarity with social media platforms is a plus. Experience in glass, construction, or home improvement is helpful but not required; we are committed to training candidates who demonstrate a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
