The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, extensive legal research capabilities, and a comprehensive understanding of various legal disciplines related to family, estate planning, and civil law. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to complex legal cases by managing documentation, coordinating client interactions, and ensuring efficient case progression within a dynamic law office environment. Duties Provide executive administrative support by managing calendars, scheduling appointments, and coordinating meetings for attorneys specializing in matrimonial law. Conduct thorough legal research across multiple areas including family law, estate planning, landlord-tenant law, and tribal regulations using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools. Assist in drafting, proofreading, and reviewing legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, affidavits, and case summaries with precision and attention to detail. Organize and maintain case files using document management systems like iManage and PCLaw to ensure easy retrieval and compliance with confidentiality standards. Perform data entry and document review tasks efficiently while adhering to established filing protocols within the law office. Support litigation processes through document review, discovery management, and preparation of materials for court proceedings. Facilitate communication with clients, courts, and external agencies via professional phone etiquette while managing correspondence effectively. Coordinate project management tasks related to ongoing cases or legal initiatives involving securities law, patent law, or environmental regulations as needed. Skills Extensive knowledge of legal administrative processes with experience in law office operations. Proficiency in legal research platforms such as Westlaw and LexisNexis for case law analysis across diverse legal fields including workers' compensation law, personal injury law, and tribal regulations. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining accuracy. Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents, reports, and correspondence that meet professional standards. Experience with document review, proofreading, transcription, and contract management within a legal setting. Familiarity with case management software like PCLaw or iManage to streamline workflow processes. Demonstrated ability in project management to coordinate tasks efficiently across different legal disciplines such as estate planning or UCC law. Effective interviewing skills for client intake procedures and information gathering. Knowledge of various areas of law including family law, landlord-tenant issues, securities law, tribal regulations, patent law, environmental law, and litigation procedures. Strong clerical experience encompassing filing systems, data entry accuracy, phone etiquette, and administrative support functions necessary for a busy law office environment.
