Job Description

Supports the day-to-day activities of the Medical Staff Services department and provides related administrative services and specialized support functions for the Department and Medical Staff Services Leadership.
Specific Responsibilities:
40% Provide General Administrative Support for the Medical Services Administration Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas and compile minutes Develop and implement tools and policies to support knowledge management, record keeping, and internal and external communication. Develop and maintain appropriate documentation of operating policies and procedures. 30% Project Management and Process Improvement Assists the Director and other team members with various projects including data collection/ benchmarking with other institutions. Assist in managing all phases of assigned projects. Assists leadership with coordinating Credentials Committee and Medical Executive Committee meetings. Specifically, prepare agendas, track attendance and compile minutes. 20% Meeting management 10%
Other:
Responds to inquiries and interface with internal and external customers on day-to-day issues as they arise. Engages in ongoing collaboration and coordination of activities with the Departments and Medical Staff leadership. Collaborate with practitioners, departments and staff on projects or issues affecting the medical staff office functions when applicable. Applicants must be currently enrolled in a full-time, accredited public or private College/University Be in good academic standing Proficient with Microsoft Office applications Experience with database applications preferred Detail-oriented and organized Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen or national, asylee, refugee, or lawful permanent resident. Work 37.5 hours per week and commit to a minimum or 375 hours for the duration of the internship Must be committed to completing the duration of the internship from June 2026-August 2026
