Job Description

Position Summary The Clothing and Guest Services Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day management and coordination of Clara's Closet programming at Lunch Break's Red Bank and Brookdale locations. The Coordinator ensures clothing services are delivered in a welcoming, organized and dignified manner consistent with Lunch Break's mission. This position oversees clothing distribution programs, seasonal initiatives, volunteer coordination, and guest-facing services. The role also works collaboratively with other departments to support related services, including shower and laundry access, helping ensure guests have the clothing and resources needed to maintain personal dignity. The coordinator also serves as a key point of contact for clothing donations, community clothing drives, and inquiries related to Clara's Closet. Clothing and Guest Services Coordinator:
Additional duties may be assigned as needed to support programs operations. Program Coordination and Guest Services
  • Oversee the daily operations of Clara's Closet at both Red Bank and Brookdale locations.
  • Coordinate and manage major clothing initiatives including the Prom Giveaway, Halloween Costume Giveaway, Monthly Clothing Giveaways, Subaru Operation Warm, Suit up programs and other seasonal distributions.
  • Ensure a welcoming and respectful experience for all guests accessing clothing services.
  • Maintain organized, safe, and clutter-free spaces while ensuring appropriate inventory rotation and product flow.
  • Assist guests in accessing clothing items as needed including guests utilizing Lunch Break's shower and laundry facilities.
  • Promote awareness of Clara's Closet and related services so guests understand how to access available resources. Program Development and Collaboration
  • Support the development and implementation of clothing-based initiatives that respond to the evolving needs of the community.
  • Identify opportunities to improve service delivery, organization of clothing spaces, and the overall guest experience.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure coordinated service delivery and effective support for guests.
  • Assist in evaluating program effectiveness and identifying areas for improvement. Volunteer Coordination
  • Coordinate volunteers to Clara's Closet programming.
  • Provide direction and guidance regarding clothing sorting, guest assistance, and operational procedures.
  • Work with the Volunteer Manager to ensure appropriate volunteer coverage during regular programming and special events.
  • Foster a positive and welcoming volunteer experience. Operations and Logistics
  • Manage clothing inventory, storage organization, and donation intake processes.
  • Maintain quality control standards for all distributed clothing items.
  • Track guest participation and inventory usage through internal systems including OASIS.
  • Work collaboratively with the Guest Services Care Attendant to support tracking, reporting, and supply monitoring related to the shower and laundry services.
  • Ensure appropriate clothing inventory is available for guests utilizing shower and laundry facilities.
  • Assist with planning and logistical preparation for seasonal events and large-scale clothing distributions. Community Engagement and Communications
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for Clara's Closet communications and respond in a timely and professional manner to emails and inquiries related to clothing donations and services.
  • Coordinate clothing drives and donation initiatives with schools, businesses, faith groups and community partners.
  • Communicate donation guidelines, program needs and event information to donors and community partners.
  • Support outreach efforts that help promote Clara's Closet services within the community. Qualifications
  • Strong organizational and operational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow through on responsibilities.
  • Ability to lift, sort, and move clothing donations as needed. Experience and Education
  • Minimum of three years of experience in retail operations, inventory management, event coordination of program logistics.
  • Experience working in high-volume distribution or customer-facing environment preferred.
  • Experience coordinating volunteers or teams strongly preferred.
  • Background in nonprofit, human services or community-based programming is a plus.
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in non-profit management, business administration, social services or related field preferred, equivalent experience will be considered. Key Attributes

Schedule to be determined in coordination with the Program Manager. Occasional evening hours may be required to support events. Pay:
$21.00 - $24.00 per hour
