Job Overview Office Assistant for fourth generation family-owned sand & gravel business This role involves managing incoming and outgoing daily trucks, handling phone calls with professionalism and courtesy, office operations, and providing customer service. Handle clerical duties including billing and payroll. Experience with QuickBooks or bookkeeping is a plus. Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace applications also a plus. Support office tasks such as keeping files organized, supply ordering and maintaining office equipment. Organizational skills with the ability to multitask. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Office Assistant to join our team! This energetic role is vital in ensuring the smooth operation of our office environment. As an Office Assistant, you will serve as the first point of contact for visitors and callers, manage administrative tasks efficiently, and support various office functions to keep everything running seamlessly. Your positive attitude, excellent organizational skills, and proactive approach will contribute significantly to our vibrant workplace. Duties Greet customers and assist with their orders and purchases with professionalism and warmth, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Managing incoming calls and emails, providing exceptional customer service. Handle data entry, filing, and document proofreading to maintain organized records and ensure accuracy. Support office management tasks such as calendar management, processing orders and scheduling deliveries. Utilize computer skills across Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Bookkeeping activities using QuickBooks to support financial record-keeping. Provide administrative support including photocopying, faxing, mailing, and maintaining office supplies inventory. Requirements Prior office experience as listed above is a plus, however we are willing to train a motivated individual in the skills needs for the position. Ability to handle confidential information discreetly while maintaining professionalism at all times.
