Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
A Program Administrator supports the growth and well-being of young people by creating and implementing programs that promote positive development in various settings.
Role Overview:
The Program Administrator supports the planning, coordination, and implementation of high-quality youth development programs at the Boys & Girls Club of Carlsbad. This role ensures programs run smoothly, align with organizational goals, and provide a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment for youth. Key Responsibilities Program Coordination & Support Assist in executing daily programs and activities when Program Director is away. Maintain materials, and supplies Administrative Duties Maintain accurate records, attendance logs, and reports Assist with data entry and program documentation Support grant reporting and outcome tracking for CACFP. Help manage registrations and member information Staff Support Provide support and guidance to program staff as needed Help ensure staff adhere to policies and procedures Youth Engagement & Safety Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe environment for all youth Build supportive relationships with members Ensure compliance with safety protocols and organizational policies Communication & Outreach Communicate with parents/guardians regarding programs and schedules Support community partnerships and outreach efforts Qualifications Education & Experience High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred (Education, Social Work, or related field) Experience working with youth programs, nonprofit organizations, or administrative roles preferred Must be willing to take ECECD Courses if you do not have a degree in education. Must be able to pass a background check (BGCA, ECECD, and School) Skills & Competencies Strong organizational and time-management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and work independently Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, email, data entry) Passion for youth development and community service Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and engage in activities with youth Occasionally lift up to 25 lbs Compensation Hourly rate based on experience Part-time benefits may vary Equal Opportunity Statement The Boys & Girls Club of Carlsbad is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees and participants.
