Job Description

This position encompasses responsible work of varying degrees of difficulty and responsibility performed under supervision of higher level staff and/or attorneys. Under supervision, with limited latitude for independent judgment, the candidate will perform moderately difficult clerical tasks. Duties will include, but are not limited to, reviewing and preparing documents, data entry and retrieval, photocopying, answering phones and relaying messages, scheduling appointments and other special projects as needed. The candidate will be responsible for opening, processing and properly routing incoming mail and files, filing mail and various legal documents and performing associated data entry. The candidate may also be required to respond via telephone and/or email to inquiries or requests for files and/or documents and may serve as a receptionist; maintaining log books, welcoming and advising staff of guests/witnesses.

Minimum Qualifications Qualification Requirements A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization and one year of satisfactory clerical experience. Skills Requirement Keyboard familiarity with the ability to type at a minimum of 100 key strokes (20 words) per minute. 55a Program This position is also open to qualified persons with a disability who are eligible for the 55-a Program.
