06/12/2026 Full Time Confidential Secretary to Superintendent/District Clerk (12 month position): Works directly with the Superintendent; Prepares responses to letters concerning programs, policies and procedures for own or supervisor's signature; Opens, reviews and distributes incoming mail in accordance with staff assignments and attaches appropriate background material to correspondence; Schedules and arranges meetings, conferences and appointments and assembles and coordinates background material; Establishes and implements office procedures and maintains efficient work flow; Designs, sets up and maintains files of correspondence, documents and records; Transmits instructions from supervisor to appropriate staff orally, in writing, or electronically, and follows up to see that instructions are followed and deadlines are met; Screens callers and visitors to determine the nature of the inquiry, answers questions on established policy and procedure and/or refers to appropriate party or office; Prepares reports using statistical and narrative information; Monitors and tracks status of various program activities; Performs a variety of office support activities, and a variety of office functions; Prepares correspondence, memoranda, reports, minutes of meetings, hearings and conferences and related materials; Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Graduation from high school or possesion of a high school equivalency diploma and two years of clerical office experience and; either A) Successful completion of a course involving the use of personal computers; OR B)Three months experience in clerical position which regular required a candidate to utilize word processing or personal computer equipment to produce printed copy; OR C)Knowledge of personal computer equipment, operations and functions.
District Clerk Duties:
Attends all Board meetings and keeps a record of its proceedings; Prepares minutes of Board meetings; obtains approval of minutes at the next meeting and forwards copies of the minutes to the Board of Education; Sends notices of special meetings to members of the Board; contacts and communicates with Board members, as necessary; Prepares legal notices and announcements to be published in accordance with law (most important of which is the notice of Annual Meeting, Election and Vote in May of each year and Special Meetings); Maintains an up-to-date record of Board policies and by laws; Performs all clerical and other duties customary to the office of District Clerk (such as handling official correspondence for the District and the Board)

$45,760 - $55,000 Health insurance, paid time off, NYS pension
