Job Description

 Catholic Charities of Long Island models the love of Jesus by offering dignified and compassionate care to poor and vulnerable neighbors of every faith and background. In-person service at more than 50 sites throughout Nassau and Suffolk counties is inspired by the Gospel call affirming the sacredness of every human life. CCLI is looking for a full time Clinic Associate with a generous heart and a desire to contribute to the well-being of others to carry out our mission on Long Island. Responsibilities:
Greet clients on arrival, verify and update insurance coverage and collect applicable fees. Schedule and confirm appointments in accordance with provider schedules and client needs. Appropriately triage calls for crisis intervention. Facilitate timely communication with the Clinic Coordinator regarding client payment issues Perform all financial management/billing functions; generate reports following established procedures. Complete all office functions including word processing, photocopy, fax, and data entry into Netsmart Avatar.
Qualifications:
HS diploma/GED One year of office clerical/administrative experience that demonstrates knowledge and proficiency in office systems and procedures. Related office experience in a healthcare environment a plus. Proficiency in MS Word; familiarity with other PC programs and internet. Well-developed time management and prioritization skills to manage multiple priorities with deadlines. Sincere desire to facilitate billing issues for clients to help effect continuous care.
Schedule:
Full time - 35 hours per week.
Rate of Pay :
$19.50 per hour This rate of pay serves as a good faith estimate. Actual pay is based on a number of factors which may include a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, experience and work location. The salary range or rate listed does not include any differential pay or other forms of compensation, such as the value of benefits, which may be applicable to this position.
