Job Description

Waschitz Pavloff CPA LLP is seeking an administrative assistant in our Monticello, New York office. We are a peer reviewed CPA firm, located in Sullivan and Orange counties. Our varied client base includes professionals, agriculture, manufacturing, wholesale, retail, automotive, petroleum, not-for-profit entities, and local governments. We are a progressive firm that utilizes the most current technology, programs, and practices available to service the specific needs of our clients. Primary Responsibilities Provide administrative support to staff and partners, including: Answering and directing phone calls and messages Greeting clients Scanning documents to our file management program Typing and proofreading letters and other documents, including Microsoft Word/Excel formatting Making daily trips to the post office; occasional other errands Various other projects and tasks Assist with preparing internal project reports during filing deadlines Assist with managing our client online portal system, including uploading firm prepared documents and downloading client data Assist with assembling, and collating tax returns in electronic and physical forms Qualifications Prior CPA Firm experience preferred, but not necessary Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and time management skills Professional phone etiquette Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word/Excel) and general computer knowledge Ability to work overtime during peak times Possess the ability to handle multiple projects and work independently, as well as work with others within the firm
