Job Description

SPAC is seeking an organized, creative, and collaborative Education Administrative Assistant to provide essential administrative and operational support to the Education Department. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the smooth delivery of high-quality arts education programs and contributes directly to the organization's mission of making the arts accessible to all learners. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment that combines administrative excellence with hands-on program support and possesses a genuine passion for arts education.
Key Responsibilities:
Department Administrative Support Answer and route phone calls, respond to inquiries, and manage department email correspondence Assist with purchasing and inventory of classroom and office materials, including ordering supplies and tracking deliveries Support data entry projects and financial reporting tasks Contribute to graphic design and marketing efforts by creating and updating promotional materials using Canva and other tools Maintain and organize departmental resources, including contact lists, Dropbox files, seasonal displays, and the curated library collection Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing Education Department events with on-site support as needed Help foster a positive team culture by maintaining morale-building initiatives Education Programs Support Assist with scheduling, communications, and logistics for education programs Coordinate transportation, t-shirt ordering and distribution, and program supplies Process class cancellations, refunds, and enrollment updates Develop visual supports, event programs, flyers, and other materials using Canva Create and manage scholarship application forms Provide setup, breakdown, and technical support for education program performances in schools and at SPAC School of the Arts.
Qualifications:
Prior experience in an administrative, education, or arts-related role is preferred Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Canva, Monday.com, and database or registration platforms Experience or comfort with event support, including setup, breakdown, and basic technical assistance Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively Demonstrated interest in arts education, accessibility, and inclusive programming Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends to support education events Why SPAC?
