MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education:
High school diploma or GED.
Experience:
Minimum 3 years secretarial experience
Skills:
Typing 50 wpm, excellent spelling and grammar skills; knowledge of basic accounting; excellent organizational and interpersonal skills; computer literate with knowledge of Mac, IBM and Windows operating systems. Working knowledge of the Internet.
SUMMARY:
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
: These statements are intended to describe the responsibilities assigned to the position and are not intended to represent an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required. Performs complex secretarial and clerical duties involving composing correspondence, preparing purchase requisitions and check requests, ordering and maintaining office supplies, making travel arrangements and itineraries. May disburse funds, record financial transactions and audit and balance student organization and other school fund accounts. Greets visitors to the school and directs them to their destination according to security procedures. Talks with students to resolve problems or direct to another employee. Answers telephone, provides information and routes calls. May assist with duties related to site attendance. Distributes mail and maintains school calendar. Coordinates timekeeping efforts for site office support staff, maintains time and attendance records for staff and reports to Payroll via Que automated timekeeping system. Keeps records of teacher attendance. Assists with the distribution of medication and with medical emergencies. Abides by district safety standards and procedures. Prepares all reports/requests to the Maintenance Department. Performs other duties as assigned.

Ability to project a professional company image through in-person, phone, and electronic interaction. Ability to build and foster harmonious rapport and work cooperatively with District staff and the public while achieving the objectives and goals of the position. Ability to handle problematic and/or difficult situations professionally by communicating with the appropriate person.
ATTENDANCE STATEMENT
Able to be in attendance for assigned responsibilities with 95% attendance.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
Primarily inside working conditions with minimal exposure to extreme environmental conditions.
