Job Description

Overview This is highly responsible work related to the Authority's Housing Choice Voucher function. The incumbent is responsible for providing assistance to the Section 8 Director in the management of the assigned caseload. Reporting to the Section 8 Director, this position is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day functions related to the Section 8 Voucher Program. Performing Annual recertifications, Annual inspections, and issuing vouchers. Responsibilities Is responsible for determining eligibility of applicants and/or residents in accordance with Authority policy or the Administrative Plan Conducts applicant and /or interviews during the eligibility process in accordance with Authority procedure Conducts move-in and /or annual inspections. Follows-up on repairs to ensure completion. Recertifies residents as needed for overflow, cross training, or fill-in including conducting interviews, verifying resident information, determining continued eligibility, notifying of rent changes, and generating required reporting. Represents the Authority on a daily basis on the site in accordance with established policies and procedures. Attends professional meetings and training sessions to ensure proficiency in the eligibility, property management, and program compliance fields. Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism. Qualifications High school with some advanced courses or instruction in the business, property management, or related field. Proven experience in an administrative role or as an executive assistant is advantageous. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software applications. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. High level of professionalism and integrity in handling sensitive information.
