Job Description

Administrative Assistant -
Carlisle, PA Summary:
As an employee of JOH, this position is responsible for assisting the department members meet the goals, objectives and policies that the client may establish in accordance with JOH's policies and procedures. This person should develop positive working relationships, convey a willingness to help the client, customer and JOH associates, while projecting a professional image at all times.
Responsibilities:
Provide administrative support to the Department Head; supporting AE's as needed Correspond /communicate with customers, manufacturers and office staff Act as a resource / liaison among departments, customers and peers Preparation of reports or presentations as scheduled or requested Preparation of customer deal sheets and new item forms using clients' systems (as required) Preparation of price change sheets Calendar management Maintain Rolodex, client profiles, access database, deduction log Assist with arrangements / preparation for staff meetings, trade shows, sales meetings, office personnel events, and trade functions as necessary Prepare mailings for UPS Technically assist departmental members as required Ability to meet attendance standard All other related duties as assigned
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES REQUIRED
Language Skills Ability to read and comprehend detailed instructions, short correspondence and memos Strong ability to write in a cohesive, comprehensive manner Mathematical Skills Must have knowledge of basic mathematical concepts Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent Ability to use calculator to perform simple functions Reasoning Ability Able to handle multiple tasks Organized Detail oriented Self-motivated High degree of accuracy An ability to set priorities, manage personal workload and resolve questions and problems with limited supervision Good interpersonal / communications skills and the ability to exchange information clearly and concisely Adhere to company policies and procedures Maintain confidentiality as appropriate Technical Skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint and Outlook with particular emphasis on EXCEL. PERFORMANCE and/or
EDUCATION PREREQUISITES
College degree or equivalent, 2-4 years of related job experience along with excellent people skills. Experience in the CPG industry with a working knowledge of DemandTEc and SV Harbor is a plus.
