Job Description

Millcreek Township is seeking a full-time Fire Department Clerk. The Fire Clerk provides administrative and clerical support to the Fire Department, ensuring efficient operations through records management, confidential data handling, financial tracking, and coordinated communications. This position supports department leadership, emergency response personnel, and Township operations by managing documentation, preparing reports, and serving as a professional point of contact for internal and external stakeholders. The role requires discretion, initiative, accuracy, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a public safety environment. Responsibilities Provide administrative support to Fire Chief and command staff Manage confidential personnel, medical, and operational records Prepare correspondence, reports, agendas, and presentations Assist with purchasing, invoices, payroll documentation, and budget tracking Answer phones and respond to inquiries professionally Perform data entry, filing, proofreading, and records management Maintain office supplies and support departmental projects Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Two (2) years of clerical or administrative experience preferred (public safety or government experience a plus) Knowledge of HIPAA and experience handling confidential information preferred Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office) and attention to detail Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills Excellent benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Retirement Plans and More!
