Position Summary:
This position is responsible for providing support for the manufacturing, equipment, safety, and field operations as well as responsibilities assigned by the Operations/Safety Manager with support of the company President and Vice President for Projectile Tube Cleaning, Inc. This individual must have strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to multi-task and work independently to meet deadlines. Experience with project management and/or safety-related tasks is preferred. This position requires confidentiality.
Job Functions:
General:
o Draft and organize documents, memos, forms, and reports. Maintain filing systems, both digital and physical, to ensure quick retrieval. o Assist with the onboarding of new hires and helping to resolve personnel questions regarding company policy. o Manage/update job, safety, and personnel information in company database. o Support administrative and additional activities as needed based on management's input and/or manpower deficiencies. o Assist with identifying areas to improve processes and efficiency.
Field/In-House:
o Assist with planning and scheduling work/crews based on job schedule and client requirements to ensure efficient utilization of personnel and equipment. o Communicate with personnel for scheduling, to address information, or to coordinate activities. o Support field/in-house operations through the purchase, repair, and/or staging of equipment and materials needed for jobs. o Monitor and maintain inventories for equipment and materials to support field operations. o Coordinate and/or conduct periodic equipment checks and audits. o Identify/recommend tasks to the Operations/Safety Manager and oversee the completion of tasks when they are determined necessary. o May be required to work out in the field performing services such as Tube Cleaning, Leak Detection, etc. on occasion to support manpower deficiencies.
Manufacturing:
o Assist with work assignments to support orders and/or inventory needs as well as ensuring the completion of the assignments in a timely fashion. o Assist with product flow throughout the manufacturing process and communicate adjustments/needs when necessary. o Operate manufacturing equipment as volume dictates or when specific expertise is required.
Safety:
o Assist with providing and maintaining a safe work environment by explaining, monitoring, and enforcing company safety programs and compliance to OSHA requirements. o Coordinate, recommend, schedule, and/or conduct safety training for personnel to ensure compliance with company, client, and OSHA requirements. o Manage/maintain job and personnel safety records including updates in the company database. o Manage/update client safety portals to maintain compliance with client requirements and to assign/document client training requirements. o Assist with third party safety audits.
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- The ability to multi-task and work independently is required.
- Good communication and organizational skills are required.
- Self-motivated and efficient problem solver preferred.
- Proficiency in using computer-based software to generate documents, spreadsheets, email, etc. is preferred.
- A mechanical background and the ability to build/assemble equipment is preferred.
- Valid Driver's License with no DUIs in the past three (3) years is required.
Physical:
o Sit for extended periods of time, stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, and bend to the floor. o Exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally to move objects. o Exert 10 to 20 pounds of force frequently to move objects. o Exert up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Working Conditions:
- Skin exposures to oil, cutting fluids, etching solutions, dirt, etc.
- Excessive noise levels from manufacturing equipment.
- Possible inhalation of fumes, dust, and mist.
- Possible hazards from equipment operation and product handling.
The position may be required to follow other job-related instructions and to perform other job-related duties as requested, subject to all applicable state and federal laws.
Pay:
$17.00 - $25.00 per hour
