Job Overview Join our Criminal Division team as a Secretary I/Bench Warrant Clerk and become a vital part of the justice process! Your energetic approach will help maintain efficient workflows, assist the public and legal professionals, and uphold the integrity of judicial procedures. Responsibilities Manage and process bench warrants, ensuring accurate documentation and timely execution. Conduct research to verify case details, warrant status, and related legal information. Draft legal documents, correspondence, and reports with precision and clarity. Perform data entry tasks to update case files, court records, and warrant logs efficiently. Provide exceptional customer service by assisting attorneys, defendants, and the public with inquiries. Maintain organized filing systems for court documents, warrants, and case files. Support office operations through clerical tasks such as filing, scanning, copying, and record keeping. Handle cash transactions accurately when processing fees or fines related to warrants or court services. Skills Strong research skills with the ability to locate and verify legal information quickly. Paralegal or litigation experience is highly desirable for understanding legal procedures. Proficiency in legal drafting and word processing software to prepare official documents. Extensive office experience with a focus on legal administrative tasks such as data entry and filing. Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple cases, warrants, and records efficiently. Customer service skills to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders including attorneys and the public. Clerical experience in a court or legal environment is preferred for familiarity with judicial processes. Ability to handle cash accurately when managing payments or fines related to warrants or court fees. Pay:
From $29,659.50 per hour
