Job Description

THE POSITION
As a Clerical Assistant 2 for the Selinsgrove Center, you will support a vital operation that serves people day and night. This role keeps the facility moving by making sure every shift is covered and organized. You will help staff stay informed and prepared while keeping schedules and records in order. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position supports the scheduling office by coordinating staffing, records, and communication for a 24/7 facility. The role ensures that schedules, logs, and staffing needs are managed with accuracy and clear communication. As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties:
Schedule Management:
Maintain staffing coverage for all shifts by updating schedules, logs, and spreadsheets
Record Maintenance:
Keep accurate time and attendance records including leave usage and overtime adjustments
Staff Communication:
Provide timely updates to unit staff, supervisors, and management regarding scheduling changes
Overtime Coordination:
Apply overtime rules and procedures to assign voluntary and mandatory overtime when needed
Documentation Tasks:
Transcribe notes, scan files, and update absence codes to support accurate recordkeeping
Phone Coverage:
Answer multiple phone lines and document call offs, late arrivals, and staffing updates Interested in learning more? Additional details regarding this position can be found in the position description.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week Work hours are available on the following shifts, each with a 30-minute lunch: Wednesday
  • Sunday, 8:00 AM
  • 4:00 PM; Monday and Tuesday off Wednesday
  • Sunday, 4:00 PM
  • 12:00 AM; Monday and Tuesday off Saturday
  • Wednesday, 5:00 PM
  • 1:00 AM; Thursday and Friday off Wednesday
  • Sunday, 12:00 AM
  • 8:00 AM; Monday and Tuesday off Overtime and travel as needed.

Salary:
Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,108 (before taxes). REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Graduation from high school; o r An equivalent combination of experience and training.
