Job Summary:
The Credentialing Coordinator is responsible for supporting the credentialing and administrative processes for healthcare providers and facilities. This role ensures accurate and timely completion of credentialing requirements for participation with insurance companies.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage credentialing for healthcare facilities with various insurance companies, including both in-network and non-participating agreements. Assist with the credentialing process for healthcare providers, ensuring all documentation meets payer requirements. Prepare and submit credentialing applications and supporting documentation as needed. Provide administrative support, including data entry, document filing, tracking outstanding projects, and maintaining organized records. Monitor and maintain accurate provider files, ensuring licenses, certifications, and insurance documents are current and up to date. Follow up with insurance companies and internal stakeholders to ensure timely processing of credentialing applications.
Qualifications:
1-2 years of experience in credentialing, healthcare administration, or a related field preferred. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Proficiency in data entry and document management systems preferred.
