Position Summary The Dean's Suite Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact and administrative hub for the Kenan-Flagler Business School Dean's Suite. This position greets all visitors, manages incoming communications, and provides a high-quality front-line customer experience for internal and external constituents. In addition to reception and administrative duties, this position provides primary administrative support for the Associate Dean of Talent and Administration, along with providing substantive executive support to the Dean and Senior Associate Deans, including calendar management, travel coordination, correspondence, and preparation of materials for meetings and presentations. Beyond day-to-day operational support, the Dean's Suite Coordinator contributes to the broader mission of the Dean's Office by supporting internal communications and governance functions. This includes drafting and disseminating school-wide communications on behalf of the Dean's Office, supporting governance processes such as faculty and committee meeting logistics and preparation, maintaining records of key decisions and action items, and assisting with special projects as directed by the Dean or Senior Associate Deans. This position serves as the Dean's Suite liaison to the KFBS Facilities team and coordinates closely with Facilities to ensure that routine maintenance, health and safety matters are properly addressed. Due to the nature of this position, it is 100% in-office and not eligible for remote work or a hybrid schedule. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements High school diploma or equivalency and three years of progressively responsible administrative/office management experience; or Associate's degree in secretarial science, business administration, or a related discipline and one year of progressively responsible administrative/office management experience ; or Bachelor's degree, preferably in business administration or a related discipline; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. Management Preferences
  • Proficiency in standard office technology and software, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Experience working in a university or higher education setting;
  • Familiarity with UNC-CH systems including ConnectCarolina, Concur, and/or BuyCarolina;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to draft clear, professional correspondence and communications on behalf of senior administrators;
  • Experience supporting governance processes.
