No Location CountyWarren Street Address232 Golf Course Road CityWarrensburg StateNY Zip Code12885 Job Specifics Duties DescriptionAs an Office Assistant 1, you would help DEC serve the public by providing daily coverage for the Information Services Center (front desk) including: greeting visitors; answering calls and directing phone inquiries to appropriate staff, and taking messages, when necessary. Schedule meetings; sort incoming mail and post outgoing mail; sign for incoming packages received and distribution; respond to inquiries from the public and provide brochures, both over the phone and those visiting. Provide administrative assistance to staff when requested; these duties may include filing, scanning, and typing documents. Count trail registers as time allows. Complete miscellaneous tasks and special projects that may be assigned to fulfill the needs of the Agency and other duties as assigned by the supervisor. This is an office position and does not have a remote work option. Preferred qualifications - experience with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, SharePoint and Adobe. Additional CommentsThis is a hourly appointment currently funded through 3/31/2027, with a likelihood of continuing beyond that date. Program needs and funding will determine actual termination date.
