Full Time Job Summary Spartanburg School District One is seeking a responsible, professional, and safety-minded individual to serve as a Door Monitor / Weapon Detection Screener. In this important role, you will help ensure a secure and welcoming environment by monitoring school entry points and screening all individuals entering the building using approved access control systems. Responsibilities Monitor building entrances to ensure compliance with school access procedures. Operate and assist with security and screening systems, including weapon detection tools. Greet and interact professionally with students, staff, parents, and visitors. Report security concerns or policy violations to school leadership or security personnel. Maintain awareness and vigilance at all times during assigned shifts. Support safety protocols and follow all school district policies and procedures. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent (required) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately Dependable, punctual, and professional Experience working with students or in a school setting is a plus Skills & Abilities Attention to detail and situational awareness Ability to remain calm under pressure Comfortable operating screening equipment and technology Positive and courteous demeanor Strong sense of responsibility and integrity Work Schedule & Compensation Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM•3:30 PM Teacher Assistant Scale
