https://youtu.be/87yUiXaW3oA The South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy (Academy) Basic Training Administration Unit is currently seeking an administrative assistant. This person will function under general supervision and perform daily duties to support the operation of the unit. You can expect that your day-to-day duties will include, but not be limited to, the following job functions. Provides administrative support and coordination of the Basic Detention (BD), Limited Duty (LD), and Basic Telecommunications Officer Training (BTOT) programs, including material distribution, scheduling, student orientation, and correspondence. Maintains tracking system, graduate cumulative testing sessions, student rosters, and communication with law enforcement agencies. Organize BD graduations to include guest speaker scheduling, editing and printing programs, and ordering awards. Serves as the Academy's liaison with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and maintains VA certifications. Schedules guest instructors for practical problem scenarios. Creates sessions in the ACADIS program, maintains the tracking system, and renews certifications. Serves as a liaison with the Academy records officer to ensure basic training and advanced training records are maintained following the record retention policies and procedures. Assists and serves as a backup to the basic training administrative coordinator for the Basic Law Enforcement (BLE) training program. Creates reports, correspondence, and special projects, as assigned. High school diploma/GED and related work experience or A bachelor's degree may be substituted for related work experience. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) Type at a rate of 40 WPM with 97% accuracy Experience using the ACADIS system About the You Our ideal candidate will possess the following characteristics and skills.
