Job Description
This position provides administrative support for the Dean of the College of Education for activities related to program approval, unit accreditation, Title II, teacher certification, purchasing, reimbursements, hiring paperwork, grant management, and partnerships. A high school diploma and directly related work experience in the area of employment are required. A bachelor's degree in a related field may be substituted for the required work experience. Experience in budget management and control and experience using Microsoft Suite (i.e.
Word, Excel, TEAMS) as well as Adobe PDFs required. A valid driver's license and safe driving history are required. Must have strong skills in providing excellent customer service and demonstrate strong ethics. Ability to handle multiple tasks and complex administrative activities, maintain accurate confidential records, coordinate workshops and events, manage a purchasing card account, and communicate appropriate processes with incoming and current students. Expertise in budget management and control is necessary. Requires the ability to work well with people and outside agencies; prepare reports for outside agencies; maintain files; prepare accurate correspondence; exercise judgment in applying policies and procedures; take minutes of meetings; and have good interpersonal skills to receive visitors and answer telephone calls.
