CHRYSALIS COLLECTIVE SEEKING ELEMENTARY ASSISTANT
Chrysalis Collective is a Christian learning community in Sioux Falls dedicated to supporting children to become curious and courageous learners. Our mission is to foster students who are formed by Christian character and inspired by the beauty and joy found while adventuring in God's creation. We integrate Montessori principles with nature-based exploration to provide a holistic, student-centered educational experience. We are seeking a proactive, observant, and flexible Elementary Assistant to support our 6-12-year-old classroom. Our ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative environment and possesses a deep respect for the child's natural development.
Responsibilities & Duties Environment Stewardship:
Maintain the order and beauty of the Montessori classroom; ensure materials are complete and organized.
Student Support:
Facilitate student independence, guide students in grace and courtesy, helping them navigate social interactions and complex projects with initiative.
Mentorship:
Encourage a "courageous learner" mindset, discipling students through their daily challenges.
Operational Support:
Assist the Lead Guide with classroom management, transitions, and administrative tasks as needed. Qualifications & Experience Alignment with the mission and statement of faith of Chrysalis Collective A "partner" mindset, taking initiative without direct supervision Training as elementary Montessori assistant preferred, non-Montessori experience may still apply Patience, a calm demeanor, and excellent observational skills.
