Elementary School position is 200 days, 8 hours per day with 30-minute lunch Middle School and High School position is 260 days, 8 hours per day with 1-hour lunch
REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma, previous experience preferred, proactive when working with people, and positive interpersonal relationship skills, knowledge in applying first aid and distributing required prescriptions to students, strong skills in working with Apple technology and Google products, strong understanding of recording and maintaining district information.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITES
Coordinate the Principal's office, acting as receptionist and reference. Provide information over the phone or in personal contacts with parents, students, school personnel and the public as appropriate. Create a welcoming office environment; maintain a positive and approachable demeanor. Professionally represent the school and the District in interactions with parents, community, staff and students. Perform general office duties including answering multi-line phones, greeting the public, typing, filing, sorting and handling incoming and outgoing mail. Operate computer-based programs for accounting and student and personnel information, including spreadsheets, word processing, calendar, e-mail, and database software. Enter and maintain data and generate reports in the student information system, accounting and administrative systems; supervise the registration of new students to the building. Coordinate and maintain the school calendar of events; schedule appointments, meetings and reservations as needed. Prepare communications, such as forms, memos, brochures, emails, calendars, invoices, reports and other correspondence; develop and maintain electronic communications including website and newsletters. Prepare and edit a variety of materials such as rosters, master schedules, requisitions, report cards, bulletins, reports and statistical data as required. Create and maintain efficient filing systems, both electronic and physical; manage cumulative records and folders. Maintain accurate and confidential services and records using direction with sensitive student and staff information. Operate and maintain a variety of office machines such as copier, scanner, calculator and computer equipment. Assist with calling parents to follow up on student attendance and absentees. Attend and/or coordinate meetings and conferences, prepare agenda items, calendars and minutes as required. Manage accounts and perform bookkeeping; complete purchase orders, check orders received and distribute to appropriate staff, and maintain materials and equipment inventory. Collect and account for money collected in conjunction with lunch tickets, student body funds, lost or damaged books and other school activities; account for and maintain the cash fund as assigned. Secure substitutes as needed; assist substitutes with schedules and keys. Supervise students in the office area, lunchroom or hallways as requested. Refer students to the principal and contact parents as necessary. 19. Dispense medications to students according to established guidelines and procedures (training provided); perform first aid as necessary; seek school nurse assistance as needed. Attend professional development when provided. Perform other duties as assigned.
