We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting healthcare professionals and ensuring a high standard of office management which leads to better patient care. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with medical terminology, electronic health record (EHR) systems, and patient service is essential. For our behavior outpatient clinic we are looking for someone that oversees daily operations, staff, and services, focusing on treatment coordination, program development. Key responsibilities include ensuring quality patient care, managing staff (which can include paraprofessionals and professionals). Strong skills in leadership, communication, financial management, and knowledge of evidence-based treatments and regulations are essential for the role. Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers with patient intake and care plans. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Schedule patient appointments and manage front desk operations. Verify insurance information and assist patients with inquiries regarding their coverage. Provide clerical support including filing, typing, and managing multi-line phone systems. Ensure a clean and organized office environment to enhance patient experience. Communicate effectively with patients and staff, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills. Collaborate with the pharmacies, physicians, and nurses, and other staff to ensure seamless patient care delivery. Requirements Previous experience in a medical office or clinic setting is Required. Bilingual in Spanish is required . Familiarity with medical terminology, and insurance verification processes. Proficiency in EHR systems such as Office Ally is a plus. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office proficiency and typing abilities Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation review.
