Job Description

1. Maintain accurate attendance records for the campus. Collect and enter attendance and PEIMS data into established database and verify accuracy according to prescribed procedures.2. Perform data entry including attendance, parent notes, court information, student data.3. Answer phone and document parent calls as they occur in regards to absences/tardies.4. Make parent calls when a student is absent.5. Communicating with parents, students, and staff in person, by telephone, or by letter for the purpose of providing information on any attendance issues and meeting district and state absence notification requirements.6. Ensure accuracy of attendance records, including verification of absences, verification of chronic illness letters, documentation from doctors or medical facilities, or parent notes that impact truancy and compliance with State laws governing attendance accounting.7. Maintains a variety of attendance records, databases, contact logs (both parent and student) for the purpose of conveying information regarding school and/or district attendance rules and procedures.8. Ensures proper coding of absences whether excused or unexcused to ensure compliance with State Attendance Laws. 9. Receive and direct incoming calls, take reliable messages, and route to appropriate staff.10. Greet and direct campus visitors. Maintain visitor log and issue visitor passes.11. Assist parents in checking students in and out of school.12. Maintain visitor log and issue visitor passes.13. Maintain confidentiality.14. Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.15. Respond to emergency calls and notify appropriate parties to address immediate safety and/orsecurity issues.16. Provide clerical assistance as needed.
