Full LCCA Exam/Licensing Costs Covered for Per Diem Phase | for Full-Time Phase Position Summary Are you an experienced youth-care professional looking to step into executive leadership? We are an upcoming, modern residential group home in Houston currently navigating the final stages of state licensing. We are seeking a foundational leader to join us immediately as a Program Director & Administrator-in-Training. This position starts as a flexible, Per Diem for less than 3 months while we finalize our building modifications and state approvals. As soon as the facility opens, this role immediately scales into a permanent, full-time executive career. Because our facility is not yet open, we are seeking a candidate who already possesses the required hands-on youth care experience mandated by the state. In return, we will fully sponsor your journey to becoming a Licensed Child Care Administrator (LCCA), providing paid study hours, prep materials, and 100% coverage of all exam fees. Phase 1: Pre-Opening (Part-Time, < 3 Months)
Policy & Workflow Design:
Help ownership organize and refine daily schedules, operational policies, and emergency procedures aligned with Texas HHSC Minimum Standards [1].
Community Networking:
Establish initial relationships with Houston school districts, medical providers, and community partners.
LCCA Exam Prep:
Utilize dedicated, paid work hours to study the Texas Minimum Standards curriculum, complete practice materials, and submit your state application [2].
Inspection Prep:
Review physical facility checklists to ensure the property is 100% ready for the initial Child Care Regulation state walkthrough. Phase 2: Post-Opening (Full-Time, Permanent Transition)
Staff Recruitment:
Lead the hiring, interviewing, onboarding, and training of direct care staff and shift supervisors.
Daily Management:
Oversee day-to-day group home operations, manage personnel schedules, and ensure proper staff-to-child ratios.
Compliance & Logs:
Manage and audit intake files, medication administration records (MARs), and state inspection documentation.

HHSC LCCA
Application Fee and Exam Fees.
Paid Study Time:
Dedicated weekly hours strictly set aside for exam preparation during the part-time phase.
Guaranteed Advancement:
Direct promotion to the primary Licensed Child Care Administrator (LCCA) for the facility upon passing the state test. Mandatory State-Mandated QualificationsBecause we cannot provide initial youth-care hours before opening, candidates must independently meet the state-mandated experience requirements to sit for the Texas LCCA exam:
Education & Experience Link:
A Master's degree in human services, OR A Bachelor's degree in social work, child development, or related human services field PLUS at least 1 year of full-time child care experience, OR A Bachelor's degree in an unrelated field PLUS at least 2 years of full-time child care experience. Must be at least 21 years of age. Must pass a comprehensive Texas HHSC Background Check and Fingerprinting process. Valid Texas Driver's License.

$65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
