About Company Kinghaven Counseling Group is the second largest multidisciplinary mental health and behavioral health outpatient provider in Greater Houston, Texas. Our clinicians include licensed and Board Certified psychiatrists and psych nurse practitioners, psychologists, Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC) & LMFT and Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW), Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselors (LCDC), and a team dedicated to behavioral health progression for individuals on the autism spectrum headed by BCBAs. Kinghaven Counseling Group offers medical insurance, dental insurance and a 401K. Job description Outpatient mental health clinic is looking for a Bilingual Medical Assistant. This position will involve front office duties and some back office. Fast paced clinic. New graduates will be considered! Requirements 1. Must have MA diploma 2. Spanish is a plus 3. Must be able to work Monday- Saturday, 8:30-5:30 or 9am-6pm-M-F and 8am-3pm- at least 1 Saturday per month 4. Cannot miss any work for the next 90days 5. Stress resistant and able to handle difficult patient 6. Able to work in a fast pace environment 7. Be responsible and reliable 8. Able to Multitask 9. Must work well under pressure considering the type of work we do MENTAL health. Job Tasks 1. Interview patients to obtain medical information and measure their vital signs, weight, and height 2. Record patients' medical history, vital statistics, or information such as test results in medical records. Collect tissue, or other laboratory specimens, log the specimens, and prepare them for testing. 3. Schedule follow up appointments after patients are seen 4. Call no shows 15 mins after the appointment time 5. Scan document to the patient charts 6. Collect co-payment 7. Arrange for hospital admissions 8. Other tasks as per manager's assignment Salary to be commensurate with experience and education.
