$10.00 per hour Job Summary The Secretary performs routine administrative and office support functions to ensure efficient daily operations at Rio Water Supply Corporation. This position involves drafting correspondence, scheduling appointments, maintaining paper and electronic records, assisting customers, and supporting office staff while providing courteous and professional service to the public. Duties and Responsibilities Greet visitors and answer inquiries in person or by telephone; direct individuals to appropriate staff as needed. Answer incoming calls, provide information, take messages, and transfer calls to appropriate personnel. Interpret and apply rules, regulations, and procedures related to customer water service delivery and water conservation programs. Create, enter, maintain, and update information in databases and filing systems. Assist with organizing and coordinating daily office activities. Prepare and process documents such as business forms, government forms, correspondence, and expense reports. Operate standard office equipment including photocopiers, scanners, fax machines, voicemail systems, and personal computers. Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and correspondence. Make copies of correspondence and other printed materials. Perform filing and record-keeping duties as assigned. Provide general administrative support to office staff. Education and Minimum Requirements High school diploma preferred but not required. No prior experience required; employer is willing to train. Ability to comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions. Communication and Interpersonal Skills Communicates effectively with office staff and members of the public. Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with coworkers. Demonstrates professionalism, courtesy, and respect when interacting with staff and the public.
