We are hiring an Administrative Assistant who is sharp, reliable, well-spoken, and serious about building a long-term opportunity. This is an entry-level position , and no tax or accounting background is required . We are willing to train the right person who is eager to learn, dependable, and ready to grow. This is an in-office position supporting the day-to-day operations of the firm, from scheduling and handling client communications to assisting with special projects with ownership. We're not looking for someone who jumps from job to job. We want someone who is committed, coachable, eager to learn, and ready to work hard. If you are looking to get into the tax and accounting industry and want to be mentored while building real professional experience, this is a rare and excellent opportunity.Key Responsibilities:
Answer incoming calls professionally and manage follow-ups with clients Manage the firm's calendar, appointment scheduling, and confirmations Assist with onboarding new clients, organizing documents, and maintaining our digital client portal Help prepare engagement letters, intake forms, and collect signatures Monitor emails and support client follow-up Handle general administrative tasks and take initiative in organizing the office Work on special projects directly with the owners and other associates Help keep owners on task by proactively managing follow-ups and deadlines Support the firm with tasks that keep client service running smoothlyWhat We're Looking For:
Professional appearance and dress required - no exceptions Clean, well-groomed, well-spoken, and confident communicator Must be able to read, write, and type clearly and accurately Strong reading comprehension is required. Candidate must be able to read, understand, and follow written instructions accurately. A strong, dependable individual who shows up on time and ready to work Willingness to learn, grow, and take constructive criticism Able to work independently, stay organized, and manage multiple tasks at once Takes initiative and ownership without being told every step Someone who values long-term opportunity and consistency Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, stay organized, and maintain accuracy under deadlines.Position Details:
In-person only - all work is conducted at our Rockwall office Full-time hours :Monday-Friday Hours:
8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Performance will be evaluated every 30 days during the first 90 days of employment. Evaluations will be based on reliability, accuracy, attention to detail, communication, and overall job performance. Advancement opportunities for those who show effort, initiative, and commitment Qualifications High school diploma or U.S. equivalent required. This is an entry-level position. Proficiency in Microsoft Office required, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel. Must be task-oriented, organized, and able to work independently with general supervision. Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform work with a high degree of accuracy. Strong reading comprehension is required, including the ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions accurately. Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills. Must be comfortable interacting with clients, team members, and other stakeholders in a professional manner. Must be comfortable handling confidential and sensitive information.
