PRIMARY PURPOSE
Assist with the district-wide documentation, record keeping, and Language Proficiency Assessment Committee (LPAC) processes, procedures and training as related to Emergent Bilinguals. Assist in maintaining all LPAC related required information in the web-based student data system. Collaborate with District and campus Registrar's/PEIMS Clerk to ensure accurate coding of Emergent Bilinguals.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or equivalent Bilingual, ability to speak, read, and write in Spanish and English is required
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
Bilingual, ability to speak, read, and write in Spanish and English required Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and e-mail Experience with Skyward Student Management Suite Strong organization, communication, and public relations, and interpersonal skills Detailed oriented Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively Ability to learn new skills, flexibility, and willingness to perform a variety of tasks Ability to maintain student confidentiality
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Uphold and enforce school rules, administrative regulations, and state and local board policy. Provide clerical support to LPAC Administrators. Coordinate with LPAC Administrators for initial and reclassification assessment, Initial LPAC, Middle of the year LPAC, and End of the year LPAC meetings. Conduct audits of campus LPAC documents in the student's cumulative records such as, but not limited to: Home Language Survey, English/Spanish Oral Language Proficiency Test (OLPT), and Parent Permission Letter for Bilingual/ESL/Dual Language services, student assessment data, monitoring forms, and end of year review documentation. Communicate and coordinate with LPAC Administrators and Registrars/PEIMS Clerks to ensure accurate coding of Emergent Bilingual students. Follow process in accordance with the LPAC manual for identification, placement, and review of all Emergent Bilingual students, within PEIMS and District timelines. Coordinate with staff and teachers of Emergent Bilinguals to provide and make available to them all LPAC and assessment information of Emergent Bilinguals. Facilitates student intake process by coordinating with campus principal, registrar, teachers, and families of English learners (emergent bilinguals). Assist the Director of Multilingual Programs with clerical duties. Participate in training programs, meetings, special events, and as needed. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Multilingual Programs.

Bilingual Education and Special Language Programs Beneficiaries:
BEA funds intended beneficiaries are English learners, including immigrant children and youth.
Other Information:
The District contributes $330 monthly to the cost of the employee-only health insurance, which is $105 more than the state-required amount of $225/month. All employees in this position receive free treatment at any Next Level Urgent Care.
