Position:
Are you a detail-oriented and friendly individual looking for a part-time opportunity in a dynamic environment? We are seeking a reliable and organized Part-Time Clerk to join our clients team. •
Schedule:
Monday-Friday 4:30pm-10pm and every other Saturday 9am-5pm.•
Purpose:
In this role, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and provide essential administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the center. You will play a key role in providing information, managing bookings, and assisting with various office tasks.
Essential Functions:
Compose professional letters, memoranda, and staff reports, and effectively respond to inquiries. Warmly receive departmental staff, visitors, and guests. Efficiently answer telephone inquiries regarding rental information, hours of operation, membership questions and general information. Develop and maintain an organized filing system, including reviewing and verifying the accuracy of data for both administration and operations. Prepare documents for filing. Communicate effectively with clubs, organizations, and the public to resolve issues and provide excellent service assistance. Edit, type, and distribute necessary documents and correspondence for departmental activities. Assist the Administrator in compiling data for various reports (attendance, financial, and operational) on a weekly, monthly, and yearly basis. Perform bookkeeping duties, including managing daily ledgers, weekly receipts, and monthly balancing. Control and maintain the inventory of office supplies. Utilize a wide range of office skills, including strong composition and grammar, the operation of business office machines (computer, calculator, copy machine, fax machine, telephone), and knowledge of filing systems, public relations techniques, and general office methods and procedures. Demonstrate strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with other employees within the center and across different other departments. Must be able to perform physical tasks such as standing and walking for up to 2 hours daily, sitting for up to 6 hours daily, and reaching and handling supplies for up to 3 hours daily. Possess clear and articulate English communication skills to effectively interact with the public, employees, and management.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED and one (1) year of office experience.
Skills:
Must possess good typing skills.
License:
Must have a valid Texas Class C driver's license with a clear driving record.
