Job Description

The Weatherford Chamber of Commerce is looking to hire a Visitor Serviss Coordinator. The VSC is the first person who greets visitors and chamber members. They are responsible for overseeing the reception area, answering multi-line phones, assisting visitors and newcomers to the area and general office support. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, desire to help people, general office skills, computer proficiency with Word, Excel and Power Point and the ability to multi
  • task. Office hours are Monday
  • Friday 9:00
  • 5:00.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Managing the front desk activities including:
  • Answering, directing and screening a large volume of inbound calls with tact, professionalism and customer service. Takes messages or fields/answers all routine and non-routine questions.
  • Greeting and directing visitors. Telling the Weatherford story with things to see & do.
  • Sorting and distributing mail, coordinating outbound mail, postage, pick-ups, etc.
  • Performing some data entry.
Help gather content for weekly email to our 1,000+ members. Drafting written responses or replies by phone or e-mail when necessary. Responding to regularly occurring requests for information. Assisting with special projects as needed. Keeping all print materials updated and orderly. Community Calendar updated and maintained. May perform other duties not specifically listed in this job description as requested. Ordering supplies for the office. Assist Chamber Directors with task (membership, event, tourism).
Job Requirements:
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point) as well as internet-based applications; Google Sheets a plus. Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail and follow through Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to work well independently as well as with co-workers, peers, supervisors and external customers Ability to effectively and efficiently handle multiple tasks simultaneously with precision and adapt to changes in responsibilities and workloads Must be professional, possess a high degree of urgency and self-motivation, and have a strong work ethic
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, this position will need to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets and utilize office equipment. Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer and cash register. This position frequently communicates with members & visitors who have inquiries. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
