Summary Under the direction of the Team Administrators, the Assistant Team Administrator supports the planning and execution of all aspects of team operations for all Utah Soccer teams, including but not limited to Real Salt Lake, RSL Academy, Real Monarchs, Utah Royals FC, including travel logistics, league compliance, player services, and administrative operations. This role serves as a key liaison between players, coaches, staff, vendors, and internal departments, while resolving operational issues and ensuring the efficient delivery of team activities. The position requires exceptional organizational skills, discretion, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced professional sports environment, including regular domestic and international travel and availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the team's needs. Responsibilities Include Assist in the administration of all team operations, including travel logistics, player services, league compliance, scheduling, and team support functions across all Utah Soccer Clubs. Travels extensively with the teams, including domestic and international travel, to support games, training camps, preseason activities, league matches, tournaments, and other team events while ensuring operational readiness and compliance with Club and league requirements. Support the coordination of domestic and international team travel, including flights, hotels, ground transportation, training facilities, and itineraries while exercising independent judgment to resolve travel-related issues and operational challenges. Next, NWSL U.S. Soccer, FIFA, CONCACAF, and other applicable league regulations, roster requirements, and administrative deadlines. Serve as a liaison between players, technical staff, vendors, and external partners to ensure efficient execution of team operations. Manage assigned operational projects and initiatives with the goal of enhancing efficiency, communication, and the player experience. Assist with budgeting, expense tracking, invoice processing, and vendor management related to team operations and travel activities. Maintain confidential team, player, and operational records while ensuring accuracy and compliance with organizational and league standards. Analyze operational needs and resolve routine issues involving travel, logistics, player services, and team administration. Support matchday and training operations, including coordination of league requirements, visiting team needs, player logistics, and other operational functions as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Two (2) years of experience in professional sports, collegiate athletics, team operations, event operations, business operations, or a related field. Ability nd willingness to travel extensively, including extended domestic and international trips, and work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the team schedule. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential information and operational matters. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and business technology platforms. Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and travel as required. Ability to pass a background check. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field. Experience working in professional soccer, MLS, NWSL, USL, NCAA Division I athletics, or other elite sports environments. Knowledge of MLS roster rules, league operations, and player administration procedures. Experience coordinating domestic and international travel. Experience managing budgets, vendors, and expenses. Bilingual in English and Spanish. Physical Demands & Work Environment This position regularly requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, carrying, and operating standard office equipment. The employee may be required to lift and transport materials weighing up to 25 pounds, including team equipment, travel materials, and operational supplies. The role requires frequent movement between offices, locker rooms, training facilities, stadiums, airports, hotels, and other event locations.
