Job Description
Job Summary Non-sworn position assigned to the Administrative Office responsible for assisting the public and performing office related functions in support of agency operations. Essential Job Functions To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential job functions satisfactorily. Builds and maintains positive relationships with the community. Handles inquiries, calls, and visitors to office - provides assistance, direction or information. Utilizes records management systems - enters data and/or queries information. Maintains confidentiality of information, secures and retains (or expunges) records as required. Creates case files and maintains associated filing systems. Documents or records receipt and service of criminal and civil process. Disseminates, enters, reports or submits required data-information to authorized agencies or officials. Maintains wanted person-extradition status master file and/or list. Disseminates criminal histories and runs background checks as authorized. Prepares and sends general correspondences for agency. Handles official mail and packages. Registers (and tracks) personnel training and maintains associated records. Maintains vehicle maintenance records. Manages grants and financial or cash accounts as directed. Makes purchases and manages expenditures as authorized. Assists with time keeping and payroll. Compiles information to handle Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests. Prepares and disseminates media releases or social media posts as needed. Collects and/or records statistical data-information to be released to community and others. Prepares reports, spreadsheets, charts or graphs. Attends staff meetings and provides periodic status reports as directed. Plans events or projects as needed. Provides other general clerical or file work. Aids with disasters, searches, special operations, and/or critical incidents as needed. Maintains professional appearance and keep assigned equipment in a state of operational readiness. Meets applicable training and accreditation standards. Education and Experience High School Diploma or Equivalent Licenses or Certifications Virginia Driver's License Virginia Criminal Information Network (VCIN) Virginia Notary Public (if applicable) Special Requirements None The annual starting pay range for this FLSA non-exempt position is $40,705.59- $49,811.43 , commensurate with qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
