POSITION REPORTS TO
Building Principal •May need to come in to the office for several days in June/August/early Sept. for training.
PRIMARY FUNCTION
Under the direction of the Morgan Middle School Principal, the Secretary IV will be responsible for performing the duties of a "Lead Secretary" by providing oversight of the daily operations and functions of the office, including direction of the office staff.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Contributing to a positive school climate by maintaining a high level of professionalism Providing confidential clerical support to the Building Principal Providing oversight of all office operations, functions and staff Generating, maintaining and submitting monthly payroll documentation in a timely manner, and providing accurate recording and reporting of the entire process Maintaining student records abiding by all FERPA Regulations Managing General Fund and/or ASB Fund accounts, including all cash handling, receipting, and depositing processes, and providing accurate recording and reporting of all transactions Maintaining and publishing the Building Master Schedule, Calendar of Events, Daily Bulletins and School Newsletter Performing the duties of a liaison for the Principal, Staff, Students and Parents Managing inventory of supplies, keys, booklets, etc Initiating purchase processes, including ordering, tracking and timely submission of documentation for payment, and providing accurate recording and reporting of all transactions Performing opening and closing procedures of the building Managing certificated and classified substitute staff Producing and processing bulk mailings Performing duties of the Registrar and Attendance Secretaries in their absence Provides assistance in the Health Room as needed Performing other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience High School Diploma or equivalent to Skyward student management experience strongly preferred Proficient Office/Google Suite experience Customer service experience preferred A minimum of 2 years of demonstrated successful office management experience Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Demonstrated ability to handle confidential matters in an ethical manner Demonstrated ability to establish effective working relationships and interact successfully with all school district staff and students Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, and accept the responsibility of providing effective leadership in a fast-paced environment Demonstrated ability to give direction and act in a supervisory capacity during an emergency situation in a calm, confident manner Demonstrated ability to problem solve and provide logical solutions in complex situations Demonstrated strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills Demonstrated high level of computer proficiency and application of technology Demonstrated ability to comprehend and utilize mathematical calculation Demonstrated ability to produce and maintain accurate records Knowledge of WSIPC and Skyward software system preferred Bilingual/Biliterate in Spanish strongly preferred
REQUIREMENTS
Must qualify to work in the proximity of children under the conditions of an WSP/FBI background check and Sexual Misconduct Disclosure

Retirement benefits are provided through the WA State Department of Retirement Systems (DRS) if applicable. Paid leave benefits to include 12 days of sick leave, three personal leave days. Prorated if applicable.
