Administrative Assistant III Location:
Houston, TX (IAH Airport)
Pay Rate:
$30.00 - $36.23/hour
Employment Type:
3-6 Month Contract |
Possible Extension or Direct Hire Schedule:
Monday - Friday | 7:00 AM - 4:00

ASAP Our client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support daily office operations within a fast-paced airport services environment at Houston Intercontinental Airport (IAH). This role is ideal for someone with strong administrative, payroll, finance, or HR support experience who thrives in a dynamic operational setting and enjoys working with both internal teams and customers. The Administrative Assistant will play a key role in supporting office operations, coordinating customer service requests, assisting with payroll and HR processes, maintaining records, and supporting financial reporting activities. Strong communication skills, advanced computer proficiency, and the ability to multitask effectively are essential for success in this position. Key Responsibilities Support daily office operations under the direction of the Site Manager Serve as the primary point of contact for incoming customer inquiries and service requests Coordinate and track work orders within the company system Assist with employee onboarding, orientation, badging, and training coordination Review payroll, timecards, leave balances, and identify discrepancies Support financial tracking, spending analysis, and billing reports Order office supplies and operational materials as needed Maintain compliance with company policies, safety standards, and required training Handle confidential employee and financial information with professionalism and discretion Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required Valid Driver's License required 3-5 years of office administration experience with exposure to accounting, payroll, bookkeeping, HR support, or finance-related duties Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Ability to obtain and maintain airport security clearance Flexibility to support varying schedules, including weekends or holidays if needed Preferred Qualifications Previous customer service experience Experience working in airport operations or aviation environments Familiarity with work order or maintenance management systems Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills Work Environment This position operates primarily in an office environment but may also require exposure to active airport operations, including outdoor conditions, vehicles, moving equipment, and aircraft activity.
