Job Description

About IRC Integrative Recovery Care, LLC is a Licensed Behavioral Health Center serving Huntington, West Virginia. IRC provides evidence-based behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment, including medication-assisted treatment, individual and group therapy, and peer recovery support services. We are building a team of dependable and compassionate professionals who believe recovery is possible for everyone. Position Summary IRC is seeking a professional and organized Clinical Office Assistant to support our front office and daily clinical operations. The Clinical Office Assistant is often the first person clients interact with when entering our facility. This position combines front office administration with limited clinical support duties performed under the supervision of licensed medical and clinical staff. This is a non-licensed support position. The Clinical Office Assistant does not diagnose clients, conduct clinical assessments, provide therapy, administer medications, make clinical decisions, or independently provide billable services. The ideal candidate is welcoming, detail-oriented, comfortable working in a behavioral health setting, and able to manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining client confidentiality. Front Office Responsibilities Greet and check in clients in a welcoming, respectful, and trauma-informed manner Answer incoming telephone calls, route calls, and relay messages accurately Schedule, confirm, and manage client appointments Verify and update client demographic and insurance information Scan, upload, and organize documents within the electronic health record Process releases of information in accordance with HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 Coordinate client flow and communicate with clinical staff to help minimize wait times Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front office environment Assist with office supplies, mail, records, and general administrative responsibilities Clinical Support Responsibilities The following duties are performed under established procedures and the supervision of licensed staff: Obtain and document blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiratory rate Obtain and document client height and weight Collect urine specimens for drug screening in accordance with facility procedures Perform approved CLIA-waived point-of-care testing after completing required training and competency verification Prepare and maintain examination and clinical areas between client visits Monitor and restock clinical supplies Enter objective clinical information into the electronic health record as directed Report abnormal findings, client concerns, and safety issues promptly to the supervising licensed provider Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 Familiarity with computers, scheduling systems, and electronic records Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work professionally with individuals experiencing behavioral health and substance use challenges Ability to follow written procedures and directions from licensed staff Ability to pass all background checks required for employment in a West Virginia behavioral health facility Skills and Characteristics Compassionate, professional, and nonjudgmental Reliable and punctual Organized and detail-oriented Comfortable managing multiple priorities Able to communicate effectively with clients, families, staff, and community partners Able to follow clinical and administrative procedures precisely Committed to client privacy, confidentiality, and professional boundaries Proficient with basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office, scheduling systems, and electronic health records Why Join IRC?
