The successful candidate must be a regularly employed professional educator at the school and have a working knowledge of computers and computer network systems.
Job Description:
In addition to abiding by established laws, policies, rules and regulations, the Systems Operator shall have the following extra-duty responsibilities and duties: Perform maintenance operations to the server including, but not limited to, cleaning up the student and teacher files, emptying the print que, setting the time, installing new programs, loading all students at the beginning of the year, and setting the intruder alert. Resolve teachers' concerns regarding the network and computers. Attend all required computer training. Maintain records, files, inventories and equipment serial numbers. Compile and submit required reports. Submit requests for new equipment. Submit requests for school computer/network repairs. Conduct staff training about the server/computer system and software. Distribute pertinent curricular information received from the state, county, principal, business/industry or current literature. Assist staff and students with curricular software and computer usage.
