This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of mechanical work, shop organization, and basic office responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Electric Tool Repair & Maintenance — Diagnose and repair electric hand tools; perform routine maintenance on shop equipment. Equipment & Facility Upkeep — Conduct regular inspections, identify issues, and complete minor repairs to keep the shop safe and operational. Steel Prep & Coating — Prep, clean, and prime structural steel components; assist with light fabrication and assembly work. Fabrication Support — Perform cutting, grinding, drilling, and other light fabrication tasks as needed. Shop Safety & Inspections — Maintain a clean, organized workspace; complete scheduled safety checks and documentation. Inventory & Ordering — Track materials and supplies, place orders, and maintain stock levels. Pick‑Up & Delivery — Transport tools, materials, and parts between vendors, job sites, and the shop using company vehicles. Office Support — Assist with basic administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and vendor communication. Qualifications Experience repairing electric hand tools or mechanical equipment. Basic fabrication skills (cutting, grinding, drilling, priming, etc.). Ability to read and follow safety procedures and inspection checklists. Valid driver's license with clean driving record. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on your feet for extended periods. Comfortable using basic computer applications for ordering and recordkeeping. Preferred (Not Required) Experience in a fabrication, welding, or industrial shop environment. Forklift certification or willingness to obtain it.
