Company Overview:
Local Engineering firm, specializing in Private Provider Building Code Plan Review for residential and commercial new construction. We are looking for a detail-oriented, organized, and customer-service-driven Permit Technician to join our team. Position Summary The Permit Technician is responsible for managing permit documentation from start to finish. This role supports our Plans Examiners and Contractor clients by carefully organizing, processing, and tracking permitting files throughout the review cycle. Key Responsibilities Intake and organize incoming permitting documents. Electronically file, maintain, and update permitting records. Communicate professionally with licensed Contractors and occasionally with Building Department staff or Engineers. Use company tools and software to track progress of completed projects during downtime. Support general administrative tasks related to permitting workflows.
Software & Tools Used Google Sheets Outlook Email Adobe Acrobat Bluebeam Revu Qualifications Required:
Strong customer service and communication skills. Excellent organization and multi-tasking abilities. Comfort working in a deadline-driven environment with high accuracy.
