Electronic (Using your CalCareer Account) Job Description and Duties The Adoption Services Branch is looking for a motivated, self-starter to join our Chico Regional Office. Under the supervision of the Adoptions Supervisor II (ASII), the Office Technician (OT) provides clerical support, receives and directs calls, independently prepare correspondence, arrange conference calls, and coordinate adoptive parent training meetings. Creates reports, processes all personnel documents for staff, prepare travel claims using CalAters program, prepare and submit monthly attendance reports and resolve any discrepancies with Personnel. Works with vendors to order and maintain office supplies/equipment. Maintains files and assists with establishing or revising office procedures and maintains written office procedures and distributes those procedures to staff. Prepare adoptive placement and adoption finalization documents. Working Conditions The employee reports to CDSS Chico Regional Office (520 Cohasset Road) in Chico. Free on-site parking. This position is eligible for hybrid work in accordance with the Governor's Executive Order N-22-25 and at the sole discretion of the Department of Social Services under California Government Code Section 14200. All telework schedules are subject to change and may be re-evaluated at any time. The incumbent will be expected to report for in office work and attend work related in-person events as deemed operationally necessary. Telework does not change the terms and conditions of employment, the essential functions of job duties, or required compliance with the CDSS policies. Headquarter location may be designated on the selected candidate's primary residence location, and/or the closest CDSS location in accordance with operational need and available space. The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment.
