Job Description

The Business Operations Technician serves as an assistant to the Business Office, providing operational support and performing entry-level duties to support staff and daily operations. This position assists the Business Office and team in maintaining efficient workflow, meeting deadlines, and ensuring accuracy in financial and operational processes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Duties/Functions Train as back-up cashier; processdailycashreceiptsforallfunds receivedbytheCollege,ensurethattheproperAR codes,NARDcodes,and/orGeneralLedgeraccountcodesareused Assist with asset inventory Monitor outstanding orders and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner Other duties as assigned Knowledge, specialized skills, and abilities
  • Excellent problem solving, organizational, oral and written communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to deal with continual change.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive personnel information
  • Demonstrate ability to work with various constituencies of the college community and a diversified population of students, faculty, and staff.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Proficiency using a personal computer with knowledge of Excel and other spreadsheets.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work with teams.
  • An understanding of and commitment to the mission, goals, and objectives of the College.
An associate's degree in accounting, business administration or related field
