Job Description

Make a positive impact every day as a Clerical Assistant 2 at the Dauphin County Assistance Office. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys staying organized and supporting a busy office. You will work with a team committed to serving Pennsylvania residents with care and respect. Your efforts will help keep important services running smoothly. This position plays an important part in keeping office operations running smoothly by completing a wide range of clerical tasks. Your work will support staff and help members of the public receive the services they need. As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties:
Office Support:
Carry out routine clerical tasks that help maintain smooth office operations
Public Interaction:
Assist members of the public in a polite and professional manner in person and by phone
Data Processing:
Use computer systems to enter information, scan documents, and manage digital files
Document Handling:
Organize, file, and process mail and voice messages
Team Coordination:
Follow office procedures and work under the guidance of a Clerical Supervisor Interested in learning more? Additional details regarding this position can be found in the position description .
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week. Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 1-hour lunch. Travel and overtime as needed. Telework:
This position may be eligible to telework part time. Specific details of the telework schedule will be discussed during the interview process. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg, PA. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
Salary:
Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting salary of $36,108 (before taxes). You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Graduation from high school; o r An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Hiring preference for this vacancy will be given to candidates who live within Dauphin County. If no eligible candidates who live within Dauphin County apply for this position candidates who reside in other counties may be considered. You must be able to perform essential job functions.
