In this role, you will be performing financial and clerical tasks that help keep Northumberland Children and Youth operations running smoothly. Work involves maintaining records, preparing financial documents, and ensuring information is kept accurate and up-to-date. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with other social service agencies, hospitals, mental health facilities, police, Courts, schools, and a variety community resources in order to effectively assist families. As a Fiscal Technician, you will perform the following duties: Ledger Management:
Maintain accounting ledgers and journals to meet agency and state requirements
Record Keeping:
Manage subsidiary ledgers, databases, and files that support expenditure reports
Voucher Preparation:
Prepare weekly expense vouchers and enter financial information into the accounting system
Financial Reporting:
Assist with quarterly Title IV-E and TANF reports and help reconcile agency and county records
Payroll Posting:
Determine the correct posting of Resource and Adoptive Family Payrolls to cost centers
Funding Knowledge:
Apply understanding of eligibility rules, reimbursement rates, and allowable costs when reviewing financial information Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment
Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

You will not have the option to telework with this position.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
One year as a Fiscal Assistant; or
Three years of work involving the maintenance of fiscal or financial records, including one year of responsible work which involves the application of accounting or fiscal principles and practices; and graduation from high school; or
One year of experience in maintaining and reviewing fiscal records and an associate degree in accounting or business administration; or
Any equivalent combination of experience and training. Other Requirements:

This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
