Midland, TX Job Details Part-time $11 - $12 an hour 5 hours ago Qualifications Computer operation Writing skills Copy machines In-person customer service High school diploma or GED Desktop applications Telephone systems Multi-line phone systems Office phone management Full Job Description Provides entry-level clerical, operational, and basic facility support for the Cogdell Learning Center during evening hours. Assists students and instructors with routine needs, supports classroom and office operations, and helps maintain a safe and orderly environment through monitoring, basic inspections, and reporting of concerns. Will receive training from IT and the Midland College Police Department. Works closely with Cogdell staff and reports directly to the Director of the Cogdell Learning Center. Provides support to students and instructors during evening program hours Performs office and clerical tasks including filing, copying, scanning, and data entry Answers telephones and routes calls to appropriate personnel as needed Maintains organized records and files Conducts routine walkthroughs of the facility to ensure doors are secured and classrooms are in order after use Maintains logs of incidents, observations, and facility concerns Responds to disturbances or emergencies by contacting Cogdell staff and/or law enforcement as appropriate to the situation Works collaboratively with Cogdell staff to support evening operations Performs other duties as assigned Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Basic computer skills Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing Good customer service and interpersonal skills Ability to follow instructions and procedures with minimal supervision Ability to respond calmly and appropriately in emergency or stressful situations Ability to perform basic clerical and administrative duties Knowledge of general office equipment, including copier, printer, and multi-line telephone Preferred Qualifications Bilingual in English and Spanish Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel Physical Demands Work is primarily performed in an office and classroom environment with occasional walking throughout the facility Requires standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods of time May occasionally need to move light office materials and equipment Lifting up to 30 lbs. may be requires as needed
