Job Description
Description We are looking for a dependable Mail Services Associate to support daily mailroom activities at a client site in San Francisco, California. This Contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on operational work, stays organized in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in providing reliable internal service. The individual in this role will help keep incoming and outgoing mail processes running smoothly while maintaining accuracy, timeliness, and professionalism.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day mailroom operations for a building or campus, ensuring consistent and efficient service delivery.
- Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail, packages, and interoffice correspondence to the appropriate recipients.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by organizing materials, applying proper postage or courier documentation, and coordinating pickups.
- Maintain an orderly mailroom environment and monitor supplies, equipment, and workflow needs to support uninterrupted operations.
- Track package activity and delivery status, resolving routine issues and escalating exceptions when needed.
- Provide courteous assistance to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel regarding mail and package inquiries. Requirements
- Previous experience in mailroom support, administrative operations, or a similar service-based environment.
- Working knowledge of mail handling procedures, package distribution, and general operational processes.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Comfortable performing hands-on duties that may involve standing, walking, and moving mail or parcels throughout the day.
- Clear communication skills and a detail-oriented approach when assisting internal staff and external couriers.
- Dependable attendance and the ability to work independently while following established procedures.
